  1. Call to Order at 9:00 AM

Present: Gary (chair), Steve, Rick, Gail, Mitch

Not Present: Neil, Fred, Mike, Margaret

  1. Recreation Site Visits

Travel in cars to Ames Street Fields.  Things to be fixed and improvements :

·         Dugout coverings

·         Fix irrigation

·         Fill in erosion at entrance from Pond Street

·         Gates to be locked

·         Fix cracks in the basketball court

·         Promotion on kiosk

·         Take care of poison ivy

·         New nets for basketball hoops

·         Removal of high school soccer nets

·         Fix molding on roof of building

·         Clean out French Drain

·         Clean out debris/weeds/branches

·         Repair bench

·         Remove shelving next to bin

 Travel in cars to Boat Ramp/Beach Tree Park

·         Fill in potholes in parking area

·         Reclaim the sand at the jetty

·         Maintenance of Beach Tree

·         Wood chips for beds

·         Seal tables/gazebo

·         Repair labyrinth


Walk Veterans Memorial Beach

·         Replace aging trash barrels

·         Start recycling program

·         Fix/repair aging posts along path

·         Rake the beds

·         Combine signage into fewer signs

·         Upgrade bathrooms

·         New handicap paths to the water from path

·         Cut back brush in parking lot

·         Upgrade electrical along parking lot

·         Kiosk-clean/stain

·         Main Gate sign needs repairs

·         Look into moving the dumpster into woods

 

 

 

 

 

Travel in cars to Dog Park

·         Better dog feces control on path from lot to park

Travel to Sampson Park

·         Trail Maintenance

·         Energy efficient lighting on Tennis Courts

·         Replace/upgrade electrical box

·         Landscape around the pond

·         Control weed growth around courts/benches

·         Fix fencing issues along Community Gardens

Cross East Foxboro Street to Ballfields

·         Cones and bumps are in

·         Field A lighting needs repairs

·         Touch up paint on concession stand

·         New locks for bathrooms

 

Gavins Pond site was tabled to a later date.

Will make Community Center Beach a part of next Recreation Advisory Meeting.
